Originally created by Adobe itself, Brackets was open-sourced and is now maintained by the community. It was designed as a modern, lightweight alternative to Dreamweaver. Its “Live Preview” pushes CSS changes directly to your browser as you type. For a CS6 user who loved the visual/code blend, Brackets is the smoothest transition.
