जब वह शहर लौटता है, तो उसे लगता है कि जो कुछ हुआ वह सिर्फ एक दुर्घटना नहीं थी, बल्कि पीछे कोई बड़ा राज़ छिपा है। वहाँ उसकी मुलाकात एक रहस्यमयी लड़की शर्ली यांग (Yao Chen) से होती है। दोनों मिलकर उस रहस्य को सुलझाने और उस "घोस्टली ट्राइब" (भूतिया कबीले) का पता लगाने निकल पड़ते हैं, जो हजारों साल पुराना है। फिल्म में पुराने मंदिरों, खतरनाक जानवरों और जादुई ताकतों का रोमांच दिखाया गया है।
