This tool works somewhat like the "Follow Me" tool on steroids. It allows you to define a path (or multiple paths) and a profile shape, but with much more control over how the profile rotates or scales along the path. This is indispensable for creating pipes, handrails that change diameter, or organic furniture legs.

Workflow Example (Loft by Sections)

Draw two or more closed curves at different heights (e.g., a circle → a square → a rounded rectangle).
Select all curves in order.
Click Curviloft → Loft by Sections.
Adjust triangulation and preview.
Click Generate – the plugin creates a solid or surface.

Part 7: Workflow Example – Modeling a Yacht Hull in 5 Minutes

Let's put the Curviloft Plugin Sketchup Full to the test.

Draw the Chines: In Top view, draw three horizontal lines representing the top deck, middle keel, and bottom of the hull.
Draw the Profiles: In Front view, draw half-circle arcs (the ribs of the boat) at 5 different stations along the length.
Select the curves: Shift-click all 5 rib profiles.
Run Curviloft: Select "Loft by Splines."
Adjust: Set "Method" to Quad Faces and "Smoothing" to 45 degrees.
Finish: Hit enter.
Result: A perfectly smooth, single-sided hull ready for thickness using "Joint Push Pull" (another Fredo6 tool).
