Pour faire simple, Dikkenek raconte la vie de Claudy Focan, un "vrai" Bruxellois, chômeur et célibataire endurci, dont l'unique but dans la vie est de se trouver une femme. Il passe ses journées au café avec ses amis, notamment Nys (le "poisson" qui cherche constamment à se faire remarquer) et Gonzalez (le roi de la "drague de comptoir").

Le film bascule lorsque Claudy rencontre la charmante Cécile, une fille de la haute société qui semble hors de portée. De là, s'enchaînent des situations rocambolesques, des scènes de drague hilarantes et des répliques entrées dans la légende.
