1.9 Launcher | Eaglercraft
EaglerCraft 1.9 Launcher — Quick Setup & Usage Guide
3. Features and Capabilities
4.1 System Requirements
- Browser: Chrome 70+, Edge 79+, Firefox 100+ (Chromium recommended for best performance).
- Hardware: Any device with WebGL support and at least 1 GB RAM.
- Network: For multiplayer: stable local network (latency < 50ms recommended).
Security Safety:
- YES: If you are using the original HTML/JS file hosted on GitHub Pages or running the offline HTML file from a trusted open-source developer.
- NO: If you download a
.exe or .msi file named "Eaglercraft 1.9 Launcher." Eaglercraft does not require an executable. If it asks for admin permissions, delete it immediately.
The Eaglercraft 1.9 Launcher vs. The Standard Client
Why do you need a specific "launcher" for 1.9? Unlike a native Minecraft launcher (which downloads .jar files to your hard drive), the Eaglercraft ecosystem is fractured.
- Standard Eaglercraft (u1): Usually runs on an 1.8.8 protocol. It is fast and stable but lacks 1.9 features.
- EaglercraftX (1.8): A more optimized WebGL rewrite, but still stuck in the 1.8 combat era.
- Eaglercraft 1.9 Launcher: This is technically a web-based asset loader that injects 1.9-specific assets (JSON files, block states, and models) into the browser's IndexedDB. It mimics the 1.9 server protocol, allowing you to connect to custom 1.9 servers.
Key Distinction: There is no official "launcher" executable file. In the world of Eaglercraft, the "launcher" is usually an HTML file or a JavaScript loader that you host locally or open via a specific URL. eaglercraft 1.9 launcher
Step 3: Singleplayer or Multiplayer
- For Singleplayer: Click "Singleplayer," create a new world. The launcher generates a world using the 1.9 generation algorithm (including igloos and end cities).
- For Multiplayer: Click "Multiplayer," then "Direct Connect." You need an IP address of a server running the Eaglercraft 1.9 protocol. Standard Java Edition servers will not work.
