EGS002 Proteus Library — Quick Reference Paper

What is the EGS002?

The EGS002 is a pure sine wave inverter driver board based on the EG8010 ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit). It is widely used in DIY solar inverter projects (typically 500W to 3000W) because it handles the complex SPWM (Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation) generation automatically.

Key features of the hardware include:

Wiring the Circuit

  1. Power the EG8010:

    • VCC → +5V
    • GND → Ground
    • V5 → +5V (internal regulator output – leave as output or connect to 5V)
  2. Connect SPWM outputs to IR2110:

    • EG8010: FOH1IR2110 U1: HIN
    • EG8010: FOL1IR2110 U1: LIN
    • EG8010: FOH2IR2110 U2: HIN
    • EG8010: FOL2IR2110 U2: LIN
  3. Set the output frequency:

    • For 50Hz: Connect F50 pin to +5V; F60 to GND.
    • For 60Hz: Connect F60 to +5V; F50 to GND.
  4. Configure dead time: Leave DT0, DT1, DT2 open (default dead-time ~2µs) or connect to VCC/GND per the datasheet. egs002 proteus library

  5. Connect the H-Bridge:

    • IR2110 High side (HO) → MOSFET Gates (High Side)
    • IR2110 Low side (LO) → MOSFET Gates (Low Side)
    • Connect a 12V or 48V DC source to the H-bridge bus.
