Method 1: The PC/USB Workaround (Easiest)

Using a computer bypasses Android's on-device folder restrictions.

Connect to PC: Plug your phone into a PC via USB and select File Transfer mode.

Find Your Save: Navigate to Phone > Android > data > com.bethsoft.falloutshelter > files on your PC.

Copy to PC: Copy Vault1.sav (or whichever slot you use) to your computer's desktop.

Edit: Use a web-based editor like the Fallout Shelter Save Editor by dragging your file onto the page.

Replace: Save the edited file and copy it back to your phone’s game folder, overwriting the original. Method 2: Shizuku & ZArchiver (Mobile Only)

If you don't have a PC, you can use the Shizuku app to grant special permissions to ZArchiver.

Setup: Install Shizuku and enable Wireless Debugging in your phone's Developer Options.

Access: Open ZArchiver, go to Settings, and select Root access type: Shizuku.

Edit: Copy the Vault#.sav file to your Downloads folder, edit it via a browser-based editor, and use ZArchiver to paste it back into the /Android/data directory. Popular Editing Options Once you have access to your save file, you can modify:

Resources: Add unlimited Caps, Nuka-Cola Quantum, Lunchboxes, and Pet Carriers.

Dwellers: Instantly max out all SPECIAL stats, level them to 50, or heal all radiation.

Unlocks: Unlock all recipes, themes, and legendary dwellers.

Important Safety Tip: Always create a manual backup of your Vault#.sav file before editing, as corrupted files can cause the game to delete your save on launch.

Step 6: Reload and Enjoy

  1. Close the save editor.
  2. Open Fallout Shelter.
  3. Your Vault should load with the new resources. If the game crashes on load, you corrupted the file. Simply delete Vault1.sav and rename Vault1.sav.bkp back to Vault1.sav using your file manager.

Step 1: Locate the save file on your phone

  1. Connect your phone to the PC via USB.
  2. Enable File Transfer mode on the phone.
  3. Navigate to:
    Internal Storage > Android > data > com.bethsoft.falloutshelter > files
  4. Copy the Vault1.sav (or Vault*.sav) file to your PC.
