The only "best" and functional offline activation key is the one provided by Arobas Music when you purchase a license.

• How it works: When you buy Guitar Pro 6, you receive a User ID and a Key ID. You enter these into the offline activation window.
• The Catch: Even with a legitimate key, Guitar Pro 6 had a complex offline activation system. It often required you to generate a "request file" on the offline computer, move that file to an online computer to send to support, and then receive a "response file" to bring back to the offline computer.
• Current Status: Arobas Music has largely moved on to Guitar Pro 8. While they still offer Guitar Pro 6 for download, their support for the old offline activation servers and manual activation processes has become slower and more difficult to navigate.

Method 1: The Manual License File Request (Official Channel)

Arobas Music support can generate a specific offline activation file for GP6. This is the gold standard.

• How it works: After purchasing GP6 (or if you have an old purchase email), contact Arobas Support. Explain you need an offline activation. They may ask for your unlock code and a request.xml file generated by the software.
• Pros: 100% legal, virus-free, works indefinitely.
• Cons: Requires emailing support (1-3 day wait). Not automatic.
