To enable damage numbers in World of Warcraft , you often need to use a console command because the standard menu option is sometimes hidden or missing in the current UI. Enable Floating Damage Numbers
Open your in-game chat box and type the following command, then press Enter:
To turn on damage: /console floatingCombatTextCombatDamage 1

Simply turning on the numbers isn't enough. You want to see the size and color difference between a normal hit and a critical strike.
