The house is empty. The servants have been given leave. Kabir pours himself a glass of whiskey, number seven for the evening. He stares at a portrait of SHEETAL (30s, vibrant, beautiful) that hangs in the corner, draped in black cloth.
KABIR (To the portrait) You were the problem, Sheetal. Ritu was just a distraction. But now... I’m free. The property is mine. The business is mine.

THE CLIMAX:
The mansion becomes a labyrinth of horror. Kabir runs, but every door is locked. Sheetal is everywhere – in the mirrors, in the shadows. She doesn’t chase him with speed. She walks. Slowly. Because she has all night.
He hides in his own bedroom. The bed is made with silk sheets. On the pillow, a photo of him and Sheetal on their honeymoon.
He turns. She is sitting in the rocking chair, sewing her torn lehenga with a red thread.
SHEETAL You know, Kabir... the inspector’s niece gave me a discount. She said, “For a woman who rose from the dead, the surgery is free.” But I paid her. With your money from the Swiss account.
Kabir lunges at her. She sidesteps. He crashes into the mirror. It shatters.

FINAL SCENE:
EXT. MANSION GARDEN - DAWN
The rain has stopped. Inspector Shukla arrives with a squad car. He finds the front door open.
He walks inside. The floor is a river of red. In the center of the living room, Kabir is tied to a chair. His head is shaved. A line of sindoor – red vermillion – is drawn down his scalp, dripping onto his face. He is alive. But his eyes are gone. Hollow. Catatonic.
On the wall, written in lipstick: “Maang bhari. Hisaab barabar.” (The parting is filled. Accounts settled.)
