What is Kingdom Rush Frontiers?
For the uninitiated, Kingdom Rush Frontiers transports players from the green fields of the original game to the scorching deserts, dense jungles, and treacherous ruins of a new continent. You play as a general defending the kingdom against the savage Saurians, giant wasp swarms, and the infamous pirate lord, Captain Blackthorne.
The game retains the charming hand-drawn art style, responsive touch controls, and the "hero mechanic" that allows you to deploy a powerful commander onto the battlefield—a feature that has become the franchise's signature.
Removed in 5.4.07:
- Necromancer gold farm: Killing a possessed skeleton no longer gives gold.
- Durax’s clone infinite range: Clones now have standard attack range (220).
- Reinforcement stacking: Can no longer call two waves at once by tapping quickly.
1. The Necromancer Tower (Mage Upgrade)
Easily the most overpowered addition to the series. Instead of just blasting enemies, the Necromancer raises temporary skeletons from fallen foes. These meat shields stop enemies in their tracks, buying your artillery time to reload. In v5.4.07, the AI for skeleton targeting is noticeably tighter.
