Usage

Caffeine puts a coffee cup icon in the right side of your menu bar. Click the cup to toggle whether Caffeine is active or not -- a full cup means Caffeine will prevent your Mac from automatically going to sleep, dimming the screen or starting screen savers. An empty cup means your Mac will sleep normally.

For more control, right-click (or ⌘-click) the icon to show the menu. From here, you can access the preferences window or set a timeout if you only need Caffeine to prevent sleep for a little while.

Caffeine is intended to be simple, yet powerful. Options you can configure include whether to start Caffeine automatically every time you start up your Mac, whether Caffeine should activate every time it starts, and a default duration if you always want Caffeine to turn itself off after a set time.

5. Installation and Activation Guide

Once the software download is complete, follow this procedure to install and activate the tool.

Step 1: Preparation

Disable any active antivirus software on your PC. Automotive diagnostic software is often flagged as a "threat" (false positive) by Windows Defender or other antivirus programs because of the way it interacts with hardware drivers.
Disconnect the Q-rex hardware device from the USB port until the installation is complete.

Step 2: Installation

Extract the downloaded .zip file to a folder on your desktop.
Open the extracted folder and locate the Setup.exe file.
Right-click and select "Run as Administrator".
Follow the on-screen prompts. Accept the license agreement and choose the default installation path (usually C:\Program Files\Q-rex).
Wait for the installation bar to complete. It will likely install necessary drivers automatically.

Step 3: Activation

Launch the Q-rex software after installation.
You will be prompted to log in or register. Use the credentials provided by your dealer.
Connect the Q-rex hardware box to the PC via USB.
The software should detect the serial number of the device.
If the device requires activation, the software will generate a Hardware ID. You must send this ID to your dealer, who will reply with an Activation Code. Enter this code to unlock the software.
