Chapter 5: Homecoming
On Sunday evening, Aiman’s mother picked him up. He was tired, a little dirty, but his eyes were sparkling.
“How was camp?” his mother asked.
Aiman smiled and held up his badge. “Mama, I learned that being a leader doesn’t mean being the loudest. It means being the one who helps others find their way.”
His mother hugged him tight. “That is a very good lesson for a Year 4 boy.”
That night, Aiman hung his TQS badge above his desk. Beside it, he pinned the blue envelope with the words TQS TAHUN 4.
He was ready for Year 4. He was ready for the next challenge. And he was ready to be a leader – one small act of kindness at a time.
The End.

In the context of the Malaysian curriculum (typically SRITI or KAFA), Tahfiz Quran & Sunnah
(Grade 4), the syllabus focuses on the memorization and understanding of specific Surahs, such as Surah At-Takathur Surah Al-Qari’ah Surah Al-Adiyat
Below is a story designed for a Tahun 4 TQS level, centering on the themes of Surah At-Takathur
(competition in worldly gain) and the importance of consistent (memorization). The Treasure of the Heart Part 1: The Competition
Ahmad and Zaid were best friends in Tahun 4 at their local school. One afternoon, Zaid showed Ahmad his new high-tech gaming watch. "Look at this, Ahmad! It can track my steps, play games, and it's much better than yours," Zaid boasted. अहमद felt a sting of jealousy. He went home and begged his father for an even better watch, thinking, "If I have the best one, I will be the happiest." Part 2: The TQS Lesson The next morning in their , Ustaz Fauzi began reciting Surah At-Takathur . He explained the meaning:
"Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you, until you visit the graveyards"
. Ustaz Fauzi told the class, "Sometimes we spend so much energy trying to have more toys or better gadgets than our friends that we forget what truly matters—our relationship with Allah and our kindness to others." Part 3: The Real Achievement
Ahmad realized that he had been so focused on the watch that he had neglected his
for the week. While Zaid was busy playing games on his watch, Ahmad spent the afternoon practicing his recitation of Surah Al-Qari’ah
. He found that the more he recited, the calmer he felt. The "competition" for a better watch didn't seem important anymore. Part 4: A New Goal Chapter 5: Homecoming On Sunday evening, Aiman’s mother
A few days later, Zaid’s watch ran out of battery and he felt bored. Ahmad approached him and shared what he had learned. "Zaid, the watch is fun, but Ustaz said these things don't last forever. Let’s race to see who can memorize the next five verses instead!" Zaid smiled, realizing Ahmad was right. From that day on, the two friends competed not in worldly things, but in who could gain more knowledge and "treasure" for their hearts. It was a sunny morning in late November, and 9-year-old Aisyah was sipping her breakfast, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. Today was the day of her TQS Tahun 4 examination. She had been preparing for months, and her parents had been reminding her to focus and do her best.
Aisyah's school, SK Bandar Baru, had a tradition of producing excellent students, and she felt pressure to live up to the school's reputation. Her teacher, Puan Nor, had been drilling them with practice papers and revising the syllabus to ensure they were well-prepared.
As Aisyah walked to school with her friends, they chatted nervously about the exam. Some were confident, while others seemed worried. Aisyah took a deep breath and reminded herself that she had studied hard and was ready.
Upon arrival at school, Aisyah and her friends were greeted by their teachers, who were setting up the exam rooms. The students were given their exam booklets and a separate answer sheet. Aisyah quickly scanned the questions, feeling a sense of calm wash over her.
The exam began with the Malay Language paper, which consisted of comprehension, grammar, and writing sections. Aisyah tackled each question methodically, making sure to read each passage carefully before answering. She was relieved when the first paper ended, and she could take a short break before moving on to the next subject.
The next few hours were a blur of Mathematics, English, and Science papers. Aisyah focused on each question, trying to recall the formulas, vocabulary, and concepts she had learned. When she finished each paper, she felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing she had given it her best shot.
At lunchtime, Aisyah and her friends gathered in the school canteen, swapping stories and sharing experiences about the exam. Some were relieved it was almost over, while others were still stressing about difficult questions.
After lunch, Aisyah had a short break before her final paper, which was Moral Education. She found this subject relatively easy, as she had been actively participating in class discussions and had a good understanding of the values and principles.
When the final paper ended, Aisyah felt a wave of relief wash over her. She had done her best, and now it was out of her hands. She packed up her things, said goodbye to her friends, and headed home with her parents.
The next few days were a wait for the results, during which Aisyah tried to stay focused on her daily routine. Finally, the day arrived when the school announced the results. Aisyah's parents accompanied her to school, where they gathered with other parents and students.
When Aisyah's name was called, she walked up to the stage, her heart pounding, and received her result slip. She scanned the paper quickly, and a huge smile spread across her face as she saw that she had achieved excellent results.
Aisyah's parents beamed with pride as they hugged her, congratulating her on her hard work and dedication. Aisyah felt an overwhelming sense of pride and satisfaction, knowing that she had worked hard and achieved her goals.
From that day on, Aisyah felt more confident and motivated to continue striving for excellence in her studies. The TQS Tahun 4 experience had been challenging, but it had also taught her valuable lessons about perseverance, resilience, and the importance of doing her best.
Exploring TQS Tahun 4 (Tahfiz Quran & Sunnah) reveals a curriculum designed to deepen students' spiritual and academic foundation through the specialized SRITI Malaysia system. This year marks a significant transition where students move beyond basic memorization into more structured Quranic studies and Islamic etiquette. Key Highlights of TQS Tahun 4
Quranic Mastery: A core focus is on Hafazan (memorization), with students working through specialized modules. Digital resources, such as the Hafazan Tahun 4 eBook, are often used to supplement traditional learning.
Surah breakdown: Lessons include deep dives into specific Surahs, such as Surah Ali-Imran (notably Verse 188), where students learn both the recitation and the essential lessons behind the text.
Tajwid & Ethics: Students begin tackling advanced Tajwid concepts like Qalqalah. The curriculum also integrates Akhlak (character building) and Sirah (Islamic history) to provide a well-rounded religious education.
Assessment Style: Evaluations are not just written; they include Ujian Hafazan (oral memorization exams) to ensure students can accurately recall and recite their assigned portions of the Quran. Why Year 4 is a "Turning Point"
In the SRITI system, Year 4 is often seen as the bridge between early childhood learning and the more intensive secondary preparation. Students are expected to show more independence in their Hafazan progress and a higher level of fluency in Arabic literacy.
