Upgrade MediaNav 913 to 10131 — Deep Guide
The Golden Rule (Read This Twice)
Do not, under any circumstances, attempt this upgrade if your car battery is weak.
The upgrade takes exactly 32 minutes (I timed it). If your battery dies during the "Application Download" phase, you will brick your unit. You will have a paperweight with a Renault logo on it. Keep the engine running or use a battery maintainer. upgrade medianav 913 to 10131
Step 5: Post-Upgrade & Calibration
- Wait 2 minutes after the final black screen. Do not turn off the car immediately.
- The Renault or Dacia logo will appear. The system is booting for the first time on the new firmware. This boot will take 45 seconds (once). Subsequent boots will be faster.
- The language screen will appear. Select your language.
- Radio re-tuning: You will likely need to re-scan your FM stations.
- Pair your phone again: Delete the old Bluetooth pairing from your phone and the car. Pair fresh.
- Check the version: Go to Settings → System → System Info. It must now read 10.1.3.
Step 1: Extracting the SD Card (The Scary Part)
Turn off the car. Wait for the screen to go completely black (about 2 minutes). Upgrade MediaNav 913 to 10131 — Deep Guide
Gently pull the plastic bezel surrounding the screen. It is clipped in. Start from the bottom right corner near the hazard light button. Pop it off. You will see four Torx screws (T20). Remove them. Do not, under any circumstances, attempt this upgrade
Carefully pull the screen forward. Behind it, nestled in a black plastic housing, is the SD card. Push it to click it out.
Hold on. Do not lose this card. This is your brain transplant.
