Known issues
- Some rare GPU drivers may still report visual artifacts during real-time playback; updating graphics drivers is recommended.
- Large projects (very high frame counts + many audio tracks) can still approach memory limits — consider splitting into scenes.
User Interface & Experience
- Design: Aims for a user-friendly interface, potentially resembling apps like Canva or Adobe Premiere Rush. Drag-and-drop workflows for simplicity.
- Learning Curve: May require tutorials for advanced features, but beginners could handle basic tasks.
- Stability: As a beta version, users might encounter glitches (e.g., crashes during rendering or missing features).
Known Issues (v0.8.3)
- Fluid solver may stutter on integrated Intel Iris GPUs—disable "High Precision Mode" in Settings.
- Audio waveform visualization lags slightly when scrubbing very long (10+ minute) tracks. We're rewriting the audio cache for v0.8.4.
- Some community shaders from the Asset Browser require a restart after first import.
3. Layer Parenting & Bone Deformation
One of the most requested features—bone deformation—has arrived in a basic form. You can now create a skeleton hierarchy (armature) for your vector characters and bind layers to bones. While not as advanced as Spine or DragonBones, it’s a game-changer for rigging simple puppets directly inside VanimateApp.
