Wella Climazon Millenium Manual Upd

Lost the Manual? A Practical Guide to the Wella Climazon Millennium

If you’re reading this, chances are one of two things has happened:

  1. You’ve just inherited or bought a second-hand Wella Climazon Millennium (lucky you!).
  2. You’ve had the dryer for years, the paper manual has dissolved into a mysterious sticky mess at the bottom of your drawer, and you need to remember what that third button actually does.

Don’t worry. I’ve been there. The Climazon Millennium is a workhorse of the salon world—a powerful, hooded dryer that refuses to die. But its control panel can look like the cockpit of a small airplane if you don’t know what you’re looking at. wella climazon millenium manual

Here is your unofficial "lost manual" guide to getting the most out of this classic piece of kit. Lost the Manual

A. How to Start the Analog Model

  1. Adjust Height: Lift the hood by the outer rim (never pull the power cord). Release the gas piston lock by gently lowering until you hear a "click."
  2. Set Heat: Turn the rotary dial to your desired setting:
    • Position I (Low): 95°F / 35°C (Great for fine hair/scalp sensitivity)
    • Position II (Med): 122°F / 50°C (Standard processing for color)
    • Position III (High): 149°F / 65°C (Deep conditioning treatments)
  3. Set Timer: Turn the mechanical timer clockwise to the desired minutes (max 60). Note: Do not force the timer counter-clockwise; this damages the gear mechanism.
  4. Emergency Stop: Open the hood fully or turn the timer to "0."

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

To ensure longevity and hygiene:

  1. Unplug: Always disconnect from the power supply before cleaning.
  2. Exterior: Wipe the plastic housing and dome exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Reflectors: Gently clean the infrared reflectors with a dry cloth to remove dust or hair product residue. Be careful not to scratch the surface, as this affects heat reflection.
  4. Air Vents: Check the air vents for dust buildup. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to clear vents to prevent overheating.
  5. Base: Clean the wheels and base plate to ensure smooth mobility.

B. The 3-Position Heat Selector Rocker Switch

  • Position I (Low): 40% power. Used for:
    • Delicate, porous hair during perms.
    • Activating heat-sensitive bond repair treatments.
  • Position II (Medium): 70% power. Standard for:
    • Average resistance hair color processing.
    • Most deep conditioning masks.
  • Position III (High): 100% power. Used for:
    • Resistant grey hair color acceleration.
    • Perms on coarse, healthy hair.
    • Maximum session duration: 20 minutes (per safety addendum).

Problem 1: No Heat, But Fan Works

  • Cause: Burnt heating element or thermal fuse.
  • Solution: Unplug. The thermal fuse is located under the dome’s arm housing. Replace with a 121°C thermal fuse (part no. Wella 089134 – obsolete, but generic works).
