- Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell: Wait—yes, he did escape. T-Bag is often mistakenly left off lists because of how he reattached his hand. Verified: T-Bag escapes with the group, becomes a major fugitive in Seasons 2–4, and is only recaptured at the end of the original series. He is absolutely a verified escapee.
- Charles Westmoreland (D.B. Cooper): He dies inside the pipe during the escape. Does not escape.
- Nick Savrinn, Veronica Donovan, etc.: Never inmates. Not applicable.

3. Fernando Sucre (Verified)

Many assume the inmates leave when Sona collapses. The show’s finale (The Killing Box) shows Sona in chaos, but T-Bag is captured by the Panamanian police, and Lechero dies. No verified escape here.
